Activity-Based Intelligence: Our Purpose for Locint.sovereign.ai

We are attracted to motion. Whether a train, an autonomous vehicle, drone, a hawk, or a crowd of people, there is something intriguing about watching something start, move, and stop. Our world at every level is in motion, from the cells in our body to the stars in the galaxy. We've also discovered that an idea or concept also seems to be in motion, whether spreading across the news or social media or neighborhood blogs. At Sovereign, we are pursuing the pattern-of-life of things that are in motion so we can learn to make better decisions. This is also known as activity-based intelligence (ABI).

The purpose of releasing Locint.sovereign.ai is to contribute to the spectrum of ABI in a significant way. For the first time on a global scale, Geodata-analytics-as-a-Service (GaaS) will be available.

It's part of our overall mission in building ABI software, i.e. to spatially index through temporal and spectral coordinates, ideas, concepts and things in motion. In 2004, then-director of the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) James Clapper said,

"Everything and everybody has to be somewhere."

Prophetically, Clapper recognized that observing the movement of entities within an evolving data universe would require considerable resources and artificial intelligence. Current methodologies based on statistics and regression techniques fail to appreciate the complexity of how humans move, engage people, make transactions, and communicate. This is where our ABI software's organic learning and contextual gravity provide serious solutions by measuring the meaning between entities, regardless of data source, and across an evolution of time (birth, life, death) of ideas, concepts and things in motion. We've essentially created a method for deploying Tobler's First Law of Geography:

"Everything is related to everything else, but near things are more related than distant things."

Also known as spatial autocorrelation, or the idea that entities that are nearer in space and time, and now via our ABI software, contextually, are more likely to be significant, and thus more important to pay attention to for making better decisions.

Today, we are launching Locint.sovereign.ai to help marketers, security teams, real estate developers, investors, law enforcement, and business intelligence groups, quickly observe otherwise hidden insights into the patterns-of-life of footfall traffic anywhere, anytime, on a global scale.
